Exams almost over! (one more tomorrow D:) And so I begin drawing again. I am determined to improve by the end of the holidays! Need to do loadsa studies. ALL the studies. Here is a doodle. I’m pleased that I see a bit of improvement in the last year, but there should have been more, really. That’s what you get when you hardly ever draw!

This is a rough sketch for something (in colour) I plan to spend more than a few hours on, unlike every other picture I draw. I am quite impatient, it seems. I finally started looking at perspective/composition/lighting blahs so I understand it all a bit better now. But ach nein, the shadows are all wrong! I can’t get it to look right no matter what location the sun is in the sky. T_T I think I’m in a Kingdom Hearts mood at the moment so I’m off to play. Gawrsh!

I haven’t drawn properly in years so I have to catch up. Today I actually drew a lot - hadn’t done a self-portrait in a while, so here’s one. I guess it looks like me, but there is definitely something wrong with it that I can’t quite see. Ah well!

After playing pokemon emerald with my boyfriend, I felt the need to draw our zigzagoon, Tanuki! He has picked up so many escape ropes. I used a texture from here. |
